After the conclusion of all group stage matches in the UEFA World Cup Qualifiers, the 16 teams participating in the playoffs have all been confirmed.
Based on FIFA rankings, these teams will be divided into four pots for the playoffs and drawn into four separate paths, with one team from each pot assigned to each path. The winner of the single-elimination knockout stage within each path will secure qualification for the USA, Canada & Mexico World Cup.
In the semifinal of each path, the Pot 1 team will host the Pot 4 team, while the venue for the path final will be determined after the draw.
The specific seeding is as follows:
