On Brazilian Teenager Estêvão
Trabelsi: “I think he is an emerging new football talent, very young. He has performed extremely well, and I believe he has full potential to rank among the great players and become one of the best in the world in the next few years.”
Estêvão joined Chelsea from Palmeiras for £29 million this summer and quickly adapted to the rhythm of the Premier League. He has become a regular starter in Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca’s lineup.
Trabelsi said: “If he can continue his excellent performances or win important trophies with his club or the national team, he is fully capable of competing for the Ballon d’Or in the next few years.”
In Brazil’s 2-0 friendly win over Senegal last Saturday, Estêvão started and scored his fourth goal for the Brazilian national team. After the game, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti highly praised him: “It’s amazing to see such a young player with such talent. He is very precise and extremely lethal. Brazil’s future is secured with him.”
Trabelsi agreed with Ancelotti’s remarks.
Trabelsi said: "He can bring many solutions, with extremely outstanding skills and incredible talent. There are not many players in world football with this level of genius."
