Paqueta: Regret Not Scoring; Ancelotti Trusts Me a Lot

After Brazil’s 1-1 friendly draw with Tunisia, Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta stated in an interview that he regretted missing a penalty.
On Missing the Penalty
“I regret not scoring and not being able to help the national team. If I had scored that penalty, we might have won the game. I’m used to scoring at the club and have many successful shots, but this time I didn’t wait patiently as usual. The anxiety to score ultimately affected my performance. I will work hard to improve in this area, seize the next opportunity, and help the team.”
On Earning 60 Caps for the National Team
"I have played for the national team for seven years, always training hard, dedicating myself wholeheartedly, and striving continuously. Many coaches have come and gone, but I have always stayed committed, being part of the team and ready to help and contribute at any time. I’m very happy to work with Ancelotti—he trusts me a lot. We communicate frequently. As a team, we are becoming more stable and growing. We will make progress step by step, but in the end, we will be fully prepared to face the challenges of this World Cup."
