Only 88 Minutes in Premier League! Sancho Becomes Fringe Player at Villa, No Chance of Returning to Man Utd

In addition to goalkeeper André Onana mentioned earlier, two other Manchester United loanees are almost certain to leave the club permanently. United originally hoped Jadon Sancho would revive his career at Aston Villa to activate the renewal option before reselling him. However, this failed loan spell, coupled with his high salary, means the 25-year-old English winger is likely to leave as a free agent when his contract expires this summer.
Sancho has been reduced to a supporting role in this once-promising loan move. He is still struggling to find his feet at Villa, with a start only slightly better than Harvey Elliott—who has been discarded by Unai Emery and may return to Liverpool early in January.
Compared to Emi Buendía’s impressive performances, Sancho is yet to start a Premier League game for Villa. He has only made four substitute appearances in the league, accumulating just 88 minutes of playing time—less than a full match. Currently, only Turkish and Saudi clubs have shown interest in him.
In contrast, Marcus Rashford’s situation is much clearer. Barcelona was impressed by the English international’s performances in Spain, especially his brilliant haul of four goals in the Champions League. His 9 league goals have also helped him return to the England squad and secure playing time in the recent World Cup qualifiers.
Barcelona plans to exercise its £26 million option to buy this summer, officially including Rashford in Camp Nou’s future plans.
