Juventus official statement reads as follows:
Welcome, Mr. Luciano Spalletti!
Luciano Spalletti officially takes office as Juventus' new head coach: the Tuscan manager has signed a contract valid until June 30, 2026.
Born in Certaldo, Florence in 1959, Spalletti played for Spezia, Empoli and other clubs as a player. He started his coaching career 30 years ago, taking his first step at Empoli, where he won the Coppa Italia Serie C and then led the team to Serie A, gradually establishing himself as one of the most innovative coaches in Italian football.
In the early 2000s, Spalletti made a major breakthrough at Udinese, guiding the team to European competitions for three consecutive seasons and, in 2004/05, helping the Friuli-based club reach the Champions League for the first time in its history. Over the next four seasons, he managed Roma, winning two Coppa Italia titles and one Supercoppa Italiana.
From 2009 to 2014, Spalletti coached Zenit Saint Petersburg, claiming two Russian Premier League titles, one Russian Cup and one Russian Super Cup. Upon returning to Italy, he managed Roma again and then Inter Milan, before leading Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022/23. He later took charge of the Italy national team until June this year.
We are honored to welcome this professional and experienced manager to the Juventus family: welcome to Juventus, and best of luck in your work, Mr. Spalletti!
