Jackson Has No Intention to Terminate Bayern Loan Early in January Window; He’s Satisfied with Current Situation

Senegal forward Nicolas Jackson, currently on loan from Chelsea to Bayern Munich, has no plans to leave the club during the January transfer window. English outlet The Evening Standard followed up with a report today, stating that he believes he can achieve success at Bayern.
In late August, just as Jackson arrived in Munich to join Bayern for a £13 million loan fee (including a buyout clause), he suddenly received notification from Chelsea that the Blues intended to terminate the deal—because English forward Liam Delap’s injury left João Pedro as the club’s only fit striker .
However, the Senegal international insisted on reviving the transfer. His agent Ali Barat publicly condemned the "extremely frustrating" situation and vowed to "fight with all his strength." In the end, Chelsea instead recalled Marc Guiu from Sunderland , and Jackson successfully joined Bayern for a £14.3 million loan fee. Under the terms, if he makes 40 starting appearances this season, Bayern will be obligated to pay a £56.3 million obligatory buyout.
The 24-year-old Jackson has made 12 appearances and scored 3 goals for Bayern to date, often partnering with England captain Harry Kane (operating as an attacking midfielder) as a center-forward. According to informed sources, he has no intention of terminating his loan early nor seeking a permanent departure from Chelsea in the January window. Currently, the Senegal forward is enjoying life in Munich and is satisfied with his current situation.
Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in June 2023 , making 81 appearances and scoring 30 goals for the Blues. During his Bayern unveiling ceremony in September, he admitted: “It was a difficult time, especially the last few days. But I always believed I would stay because this is where my heart belongs. Although the journey was bumpy, I finally fulfilled my dream.”
Having joined Bayern on loan from Chelsea this summer, the 24-year-old has so far made 12 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarian side, including 5 starts, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
