Jackson Doesn’t Want to Return to Chelsea, Hopes Bayern Promise Permanent Signing Next Summer

Camel Live’s Chelsea correspondent answered some questions from Blues fans this week, addressing topics including Palmer’s injury status, Jackson’s future, and the club’s January transfer plans.
Any updates on the front-of-shirt sponsor?
"We’ve received many questions about this topic through 'inside sources,' so we looked into it, but there’s no update on the front-of-shirt sponsor at the moment."
Surely Chelsea don’t find a 40,000-capacity stadium acceptable?
"Chelsea are eager to have a new stadium that matches their ambitions… I’m sure it will happen sooner or later. But we’re still waiting for the official announcement of the next steps. As you can imagine, the situation is quite complex."
Will Bayern Munich sign Jackson this summer?
"I understand that despite Jackson’s €16.5 million loan deal including a €65 million buyout clause—which is hard to trigger—he has little interest in returning to Chelsea.
I also learned that even if Jackson fails to meet the clause requiring 40 appearances, he hopes Bayern will promise to sign him permanently next summer regardless.
I can’t confirm what will happen in the end—the decision won’t be final anytime soon—but for now, it seems more likely that Jackson will leave Bayern this summer than stay."
Why does the club need five sporting directors?
"I don’t mind this setup. Many clubs have a central figure—when I think of West Ham, David Sullivan comes to mind first—but Chelsea operates on a collaborative model.
Chelsea currently has five sporting directors, each specializing in specific areas and sharing responsibility as a team. They are: Sporting Director Paul Winstanley; Sporting Director Laurence Stewart; Sporting Director of Football Development Dave Fallow; Sporting Director of Scouting and Talent Identification Joe Shields; and Sporting Director of Global Recruitment Sam Jewell. All of their contracts run until 2031."
Will Chelsea be active in the January transfer window?
"From what I know, Chelsea don’t plan to make major signings in the January transfer window. Historically, January isn’t the best time for transfers, and Chelsea are satisfied with their current squad.
Of course, they’ll keep an eye on opportunities, but they won’t spend money just for the sake of it.
Over the summer, everyone told the club they needed to sign a new center-back. But aside from Éder Militão, who decided to join Real Madrid, those in charge didn’t find any targets clearly stronger than the existing options. Chelsea believe they have enough choices at center-back. They hope the defenders stay fit and that Maresca can make full use of the team’s depth."
How is Disasi getting on at Chelsea?
"We were all surprised when Disasi suddenly captained Chelsea U21s in their 4-1 win over Reading last Saturday.
We understand he earned this opportunity after showing professionalism during his separate training from the first team.
We also learned that during this 'sidelined' period, he set a good example for young players.
So he got the chance to play in this development game to improve his match fitness—and he seized it. Some asked if he still has a chance to return to Chelsea’s first team.
We’ll never say never, because more surprising things have happened in football, but 'inside sources' speculate we might see him part ways with the club in January."
