Inter Miami Plans to Name New Home Lionel Messi Stadium

Inter Miami CF began constructing its new home at Miami Freedom Park, a coastal city in Miami, Florida, in August 2023.
With only a few months left until the planned opening in 2026, the Major League Soccer (MLS) club is considering a major renaming of its new stadium.
Nicknamed the "Herons," the team is currently vying for the 2025 North American League Championship and features star player Lionel Messi. The No. 10 jersey wearer is a key figure and first-team captain of the club, having won the Regular Season Golden Boot and ranking as the all-time leading scorer of the 2018-founded franchise.
The World Cup winner has extended his contract with the American club until 2028, further solidifying their partnership.
The club is co-owned by David Beckham, along with Jorge Mas and José Mas.
Sources reveal that Inter Miami CF plans to name the new stadium Lionel Andrés Messi Stadium.
Located near the international airport, the new venue is built on the former site of the Melreese Golf Course. By 2026, fans are expected to watch Messi and his teammates showcase their skills at this new stadium.
