Barcelona will face Chelsea in the Champions League. Notably, these two teams staged a classic battle at this stadium in the 2009 Champions League semi-finals, where Barça successfully advanced to the final thanks to a crucial goal from Andrés Iniesta. Ahead of the game, the player himself accepted an interview with Camel Live, recalling that unforgettable match.

About the 2009 Champions League semi-final victory over Chelsea:

“It feels like it just happened yesterday. Even though 16 years have passed since that game, the memories are still very clear, as if they were right in front of me. You can never forget such a special moment. Every time I see related footage or think about that goal, I get excited. It’s not just because of the goal itself, but also the subsequent impact it brought—everything was just crazy.”

About his decisive goal:

“Yes, this goal was extremely significant. I don’t just focus on the moment of scoring. You know, to achieve the goal of reaching the final, we went through countless match scenarios and innumerable games. From my personal perspective, that moment alone was simply incredible. Being given the chance to score such a crucial goal, I felt like the happiest person in the world, because this goal could make millions of fans and our club immersed in joy. In the end, we won the Champions League and achieved the great feat of the treble—those were truly memorable years.”

In addition, Iniesta shared an interesting story between him and Bojan Krkić:

“Considering that tickets were in short supply and high demand after we advanced to the Champions League final, with so many relatives, friends wanting to watch the game on site, plus various personal connections, I joked with him before the semi-final: ‘If I score, you have to give me two tickets’—or maybe more, I can’t remember the exact number. He was one of the first two to run over to celebrate with me, and I remember telling him about the tickets then. Thinking back now, that scene was really crazy.”
