Guiding the Team to 3 Wins in 3 Games & Winning for the First Time, Official: Amorim Named Premier League Manager of the Month for October

Official news: Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for October.
This is Amorim's first time winning the Premier League Manager of the Month award for October. Under his leadership, the Red Devils achieved a perfect winning record in October, marking the first three-game winning streak for the team since he took charge in November 2024.
"The honor doesn't belong to me, but to my players. They performed well, and our goal is to win the next trophy—because that means we keep winning games, which is what we're chasing," Amorim said upon receiving the award.
The Portuguese manager also became the first Manchester United boss to win the monthly award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023. At the start of October, the team beat the in-form Sunderland 2-0, then secured a 2-1 away win over Liverpool in the North London Derby, conquering Anfield for the first time in nearly a decade. To cap off the month, they defeated Brighton 4-2 at Old Trafford, a result that briefly lifted Manchester United into the top four.
Amorim is the sixth Portuguese manager in history to win the monthly honor, following Nuno Santo, José Mourinho, André Villas-Boas, Bruno Lage, and most recently Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, who won in April 2025. This award also made it a double celebration for Manchester United in October—Yannick Mbeumo was named Player of the Month on the same day.
This is the first time Manchester United have won at least two Premier League monthly awards in a single month since November 2023, when Harry Maguire, Ten Hag, and Alejandro Garnacho claimed Player of the Month, Manager of the Month, and Goal of the Month respectively. Selected by a combination of fan votes and an expert panel, Amorim beat out four other candidates: Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), and Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth).
