Glasner Threatens to Resign to Stop Crystal Palace Selling Guehi; Barça, Juve & Bayern Want to Sign Him on a Free

Marc Guehi himself is deeply disappointed at failing to join Liverpool, and a number of top clubs from Europe’s top five leagues are already keeping an eye on the England international.

Guehi is extremely unhappy with Crystal Palace’s decision to terminate his transfer to Liverpool, but this happened after Palace manager Oliver Glasner intervened in the deal—Glasner had threatened the club, stating that he would resign if Guehi was sold.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish accepted Liverpool’s offer for the English defender just hours before the deadline on Monday, but Palace boss Glasner insisted that the 25-year-old could not be sold, as there was no time to find a suitable replacement.

Guehi is deeply disappointed that the deal did not go through. Previously, the transfer had progressed so quickly that Crystal Palace had even prepared a farewell video for him, which was later leaked online. At present, there is no indication that Guehi will refuse to play for Crystal Palace again, but a source close to Guehi said he is considering whether to continue as the club’s captain.

Liverpool may attempt to re-sign Guehi in the January transfer window, though Guehi will also be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs. It is understood that Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all expressed interest in him.
