Gasperini: Winning at This Away Ground Is Never Easy; Dovbik’s Form Has Improved Significantly

“Winning at this away ground is never easy, because the atmosphere here is very intense, and the team also faces great physical challenges.”

How do you think the team performed in attack?

“Maintaining unity in attack is very important. Our second goal is a perfect example—if you score in this way, you gain confidence and will definitely score more goals.”

Roma suffered two consecutive defeats in the Europa League earlier, and you also lost to Milan in the last Serie A game

“I think our performance has improved, and I believe it is performance that brings you confidence. Sometimes, certain defeats are more valuable than certain victories. It may sound hard to understand, but it’s true. We have performed better and created more scoring chances.”

“He contributed to the goal. Tonight, during our second goal, he put in an excellent performance—his first touch, getting rid of the defense, and passing were all handled well. Several of his shots were very close to scoring, and I believe he will score sooner or later. Overall, his form has improved significantly compared to the start of the season.”

Roma has several players absent due to injury

“We are currently missing three players at the same time: Baily, Ferguson, and Dybala, which makes it a bit difficult for us to cope. We hope to successfully complete this small cycle before the international break, and then get some players back to the team as much as possible.”
