Voting Rules
The FIFPRO Men's World 11 is voted for by over 21,000 professional footballers worldwide. FIFPRO and its affiliated player unions distribute unique links, allowing players from professional football clubs to access the digital voting platform and cast their votes.
Each footballer selects the three best players they believe performed most outstandingly in each of the following positions: goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards with the highest votes in their respective positions make it to the World 11. The 11th spot is awarded to the non-goalkeeper player with the second-highest overall votes.
Players are free to choose whoever they deem worthy of the lineup. Notably, this is the only global football award entirely decided by professional players themselves.
