After Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso approved his loan departure plan, Endrick has begun planning his future for the January 2026 transfer window. With the possibility of returning to Brazil (especially Palmeiras) ruled out, Endrick’s strategic goal is to join a competitive European team—a direction also preset by Real Madrid. The young star follows several "principles" when choosing his new club in 2026:

The primary principle is to select a club that competes in Europe’s Top 5 Leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France) or one of Portugal’s three major giants (Benfica, Porto, Sporting CP), and the club must have qualification for top-tier European competitions. In Endrick’s team’s view, these factors will help the player maintain consistent exposure, which is particularly crucial for achieving his core goal—securing a spot in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Additionally, the new club needs to be in the upper half of the league standings and competitive in European competitions. Endrick’s team prefers to place him in an offense-oriented system to ensure he gets sufficient playing time, avoiding his technical strengths being wasted in a defensive-minded team.

ESPN recently confirmed that Ligue 1 club Marseille is one of the suitors. It is reported that more and more clubs have contacted Endrick’s team, but he is in no hurry to confirm his destination—after all, the European transfer window will not open until late 2025 to early 2026.

Endrick has not been fielded by Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso this season. After sustaining an injury at the Club World Cup held in the United States this summer, the Brazilian youngster suffered repeated injury setbacks and only fully returned to joint training in mid-September. Although he is now in 100% physical condition and included in Real Madrid’s substitute list, the coaching staff continues to prioritize other players, ultimately leading him to decide to seek more playing time by joining another European club on loan.
