David Raya: Heinze Is a Good Coach; Our Defensive Improvement Is Credited to Him
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya recently gave an interview, praising assistant coach Gabriel Heinze for having a huge impact on the team’s excellent defensive performances. He stated that Heinze has instilled intensity and fighting spirit into the team.
Raya said: “Heinze is a fantastic person and a good coach. He wants us to give our all and push as hard as we can to win games. To win, you have to defend really well, especially in this league—it’s the toughest league in the world. You have to be very, very, very solid to get the wins. Usually, games are decided by one goal. So maintaining this defensive ability is really important for all of us. It’s not just the backline, but the whole team, so this is also credited to him.”
Raya also reminded the team to stay calm: “We have to take it one game at a time. The season is still early—we’ve only played 10 league games, and there are still many more to go. It’s only November now. Of course, being top of the table and getting these points is great, but we need to focus on ourselves and focus on each game.”
