Crystal Palace Confident Liverpool Will Pursue Guehi in January Window; Asking Price Remains £35 Million

According to Camel.live reporters, Crystal Palace believes only Liverpool may bid for their captain Marc Guehi when the January transfer window opens.
Liverpool holds the upper hand in securing Guehi’s signature. Now, Crystal Palace is convinced that Liverpool is the only club truly intent on signing the English defender next January.
The England international’s contract expires at the end of this season, and he will be able to freely negotiate pre-contracts with foreign clubs from January onwards—this situation has forced Crystal Palace to consider selling him as soon as possible to avoid losing him on a free transfer. As a result, Liverpool may pull ahead of Bayern Munich, who are also interested in Guehi but are deemed less proactive in their pursuit.
Even in the January window, Guehi’s asking price remains around £35 million, a reasonable figure for a player regarded as one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League. It is understood that Liverpool manager Arne Slot views Guehi as a strategic signing to stabilize the team’s defense, which has been repeatedly disrupted by injury problems in recent seasons.
Therefore, if Guehi leaves Selhurst Park this winter, Crystal Palace will immediately activate one of their top transfer targets: Sporting CP center-back Ousmane Diomande.
The Sporting CP defender has been on the London club’s shortlist since last summer, with Palace viewing him as Guehi’s successor. The Ivory Coast international is open to a move, but Crystal Palace will only take action once Guehi’s transfer is officially confirmed. Thus, the club is preparing for a chain of defensive signings.
