Ahead of Portugal's match against the Republic of Ireland, Cristiano Ronaldo attended a press conference and took questions.

Ronaldo: "But that's not necessarily the case. I don't think they would ask that question. You're asking it now because you heard my response to him and want to pose a question similar to what Ronaldinho was asked back then.

"What I want to say is that once I've said something, it's a fact to some extent. The most important thing right now is to focus on tomorrow's match. The national team is here to win, and this is crucial for the entire country and all of us players.

"I may give a special interview to talk extensively about football in a while, but right now, tomorrow's match is the top priority."
