Carreras: Real Madrid Needs More Aggression and Space Utilization; I Enjoyed the Duel Against Salah

In Round 4 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, Real Madrid lost 0-1 to Liverpool away from home. After the game, Real Madrid left-back Carreras shared his thoughts on the match in an interview.
How do you feel after the game?
“It feels the same as when you win, of course. But we came to a tough venue and knew it would be a hard-fought game. Everything comes down to details—a goal from a free kick… Well, it was a free kick. That goal still counts, and it gave them the win.”
What was missing in the game? What more could be done?
“To be honest, we still need to analyze this game. But maybe… more aggression, more space utilization, and pushing forward more. But I can’t say for sure either.”
How was the duel against Salah today?
“I love good duels. He’s very experienced—much more than me. He’s a top player here, a Liverpool legend. I enjoyed this kind of duel; you can learn a lot from them… and keep working hard to try and stop players like him.”
How do you feel about the future?
“Well, this defeat shouldn’t ruin the good momentum we’ve been maintaining. Next, we have a very tough game against Rayo Vallecano, and now we need to focus fully on this game—we have to win it.”
