Arsenal Legend: Can't Understand Why Kepa Came – Be a Permanent Backup at This Stage of His Career?

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon recently accepted an interview and expressed puzzlement over Kepa's decision to join Arsenal this summer.

When asked if Kepa's move to Arsenal was a mistake, Dixon said: “Yes, I couldn't believe he joined back then.”

“You have to ask him for his own reasons because I don't know. I can't understand why someone would make such a decision at this stage of their career.”

“He won't get any playing time at Arsenal at all unless David Raya gets injured – so why make this choice?”

“I guess every player thinks differently, maybe he has special considerations. It could be personal reasons that require him to settle in this area, I'm not sure.”

"But purely from a football perspective, this decision is completely beyond my understanding."
