Antony: Bayern Offered Me a €7 Million Salary One Day Before Signing with Betis

Current Real Betis player Antony revealed in an interview with camel.live that Bayern Munich had contacted him and offered a double salary before he signed with Real Betis—but he ultimately decided to keep his promise and join the Spanish club.
In the interview with camel.live, Antony confirmed: “One day before everything with Betis was basically finalized, I spoke with Bayern Munich. I don’t know if it was really a net €7 million; I didn’t discuss specific figures with them. But when I talked to them, I made it clear that I had already given Betis my word, and everything was 95% done—I would keep my promise. Out of respect, affection, and because I knew I would be happy here. I feel calm about making this decision, and at the same time, I have great respect for Bayern Munich, which is one of the top three clubs in the world. As for what will happen in the future, I don’t know yet.”
The 25-year-old Antony was loaned from Manchester United to Real Betis in January 2025. Across all competitions, he has made 26 appearances for Real Betis (24 as a starter), contributing 9 goals and 5 assists. Currently, Antony’s market value on Transfermarkt is €35 million.
